Dean Heim & Co: a content day

Half a day across three projects in Wharfedale, and the Reels the studio has posted and advertised since

We filmed a half day for Dean Heim & Co, a Harrogate interior design and build studio, across three of their projects. The first Reel from it had more comments in two hours than most of their posts get in total.

The best day for new followers the account has had, the day the first Reel went out

The problem

Dean Heim & Co is an interior design and build studio in Harrogate. We had been running their Instagram since June 2026 and it was growing, with a Meta campaign putting their Reels in front of people in their area. The trouble was what those Reels were made of.

Most of the footage the studio could send us was of finished rooms, filmed on a phone between site visits. Lovely rooms, but nobody talking. The newest video in the ad account was from August, and the people seeing the ads were seeing the same few clips again and again. There were hardly any faces on the account.

The day

We filmed on Wednesday 30 September 2026, from 08:00 to 13:30, across three of the studio’s projects in Wharfedale, each about fifteen minutes from the next.

Amber shot and edited. Mike directed, ran the interviews and kept an eye on the clock. Abbie looked after props, the shot list, the release forms and the photos. Ben, the studio’s owner, was with us at all three projects, and Sophie, their Design Director, joined from mid morning.

We planned the day around questions to camera rather than b-roll, because one tripod and fifteen answers gives you fifteen Reels. Sophie fronted a series we called “ask an interior designer anything”. At the last project, the house Ben designed for his parents, we filmed what they asked him for and then how he did each one. When the clock got tight, we cut b-roll and kept the interviews.

The results

The first Reel from the day went out on 7 October 2026, a meet-the-team piece. It picked up 6 comments in its first two hours. Before that, the account’s posts were getting between none and two comments each.

We put it straight into the ads. That day the account had its best day ever for new follows, with 153. By 10 October the account was at 5,061 followers, and more Reels from the day are going out each week.

The footage from one morning is now what the studio’s Instagram and its ads run on.

We posted some of the day on our own Instagram: setting up the interviews at the first project, the second location and a few photos from the day.
